Intern Brag

Last year, Justin Beaudrot was awarded the GSU Perimeter College Celebration of Excellence Student Award in English, the Rosemary Cox Prize for Poetry from Creative License, an award for being Homecoming King, and Outstanding Student Award for Geology. He is the editor-in-chief for the Collegian, a work-study student for the Department of English, a supplemental instructor for an English 1101 class, and a member of the History and Politics Club. He has recently been selected as the new Production Editor for Underground, GSU’s undergraduate literary arts journal. He will be the Townsend Prize Ceremony photographer this Thursday, April 28.

This year, Dakota Maddox has received the GSU Perimeter College Celebration of Excellence Student Award in English, the Rosemary Cox Prize for Short Fiction, and the Rosemary Cox Prize for Poetry from Creative License. She’s been a staff writer for The Collegian and is The Collegian‘s copy editor. In addition, she is a work-study student for the Department of English on the Clarkston campus of GSU’s Perimeter College. She’s also volunteered at The Letters Festival and The Georgia Women’s Conference. Dakota also photographs, and one of them is featured above. Dakota will also be representing TCR at the Townsend Ceremony along with all of the editors, and we hope you’ll join us there as well!

Congratulations to our mighty interns!
