Classroom Adoption Podcast: Greta Schuler

TCR contributor Greta Schuler is finishing her first novel and pursuing a master’s degree in forced migration at the University of the Witwatersrand’s African Centre for Migration and Society. As an Ambassadorial Scholar, her study and stay in Johannesburg, South Africa, is funded by Missouri Rotary District 6060. Schuler, whose essay “Empty Boxes” won our 2012 Lamar York Prize for Nonfiction and was a Best American Essays Notable, graciously discusses the fieldwork and educational experiences behind her essay with TCR contributing editor Louise McKinney’s First-Year Seminar.
