The Polishing Cloth Celebrates Publication of its 20th Edition on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015

The editorial board of The Polishing Cloth is pleased to announce the publication of the 20th edition of the college’s award-winning student anthology. Started in 1984 by Sara Larson, former professor of English on the Dunwoody campus, the publication continues to showcase a collection of GPC’s best student essays produced from coursework taken in literature, English composition, learning support, and ESL.

A reception to celebrate this publishing milestone will take place on Thursday, Feb. 5, from 7-9 p.m. in the JCLRC Auditorium (CL-1100) on the Clarkston campus. The guest speaker at the reception will be Daniel Black, acclaimed novelist and 2012 Townsend Prize for Fiction finalist. Mr. Black is the author of four books, as well as a tenured assistant professor of African American Studies in the Department of English at Clark Atlanta University.
